Antonia has lived in London since 1997 and got to know its twists and turns by continually getting lost on her bicycle. She moved house seven times in her first few years, taking in Putney, Fulham, Islington, Muswell Hill, Hackney and Clapton before finally settling in Walthamstow. She further boosted her knowledge of the city’s ins and outs by writing for Time Out early in her career and has since written about the capital’s shops, theatre, hotels, restaurants and personalities for a wide range of publications including the Guardian, Executive Travel and “The city changes daily. You turn away for a few weeks and there are a hundred new shops, restaurants, exhibitions and shows when you turn back. I love the events that get hold of your imagination – like secret cinema, immersive theatre and pop-up restaurants. Transient things that capture the zeitgeist and vanish.”
